HPC represented SuperSpeed in its patent litigation against IBM Corporation in the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division. The patent infringement lawsuit concerned SuperSpeed’s patented technology involving complex data caching technology.
SuperSpeed alleged that IBM’s database software products, including its DB2 product, infringed SuperSpeed’s patented technology regarding data caching in a distributed file system. This case settled in April of 2009; the settlement amount is confidential.
