International IP Guide Honors Heim, Payne & Chorush for Patent Law Expertise
HOUSTON – Litigation-focused intellectual property law firm Heim, Payne & Chorush has earned honors as one of the top patent litigation firms in Texas by the London-based intellectual property magazine Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) for a second straight year.
Heim, Payne & Chorush is featured in the 2018 edition of the IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Professionals, a global guide to patent firms and lawyers. The firm is one of only 31 law firms in Texas to achieve recognition in the 2018 edition. The list is compiled annually based on independent research and direct feedback from in-house counsel and patent attorneys.
“IP trial work is the exclusive focus of this top-quality outlet, whose high ratio of partners to associates enables it to field a lean but effective team for high-stakes disputes,” the magazine wrote. “Its well-rounded professionals combine courtroom mastery, analytical rigor and technical acuity to secure the best results.”
In addition to the firmwide recognition, the IAM Patent 1000 honors firm co-founder Mike Heim and partners Douglas Wilson and Eric Enger based on feedback during the selection process. IAM described Mr. Heim as “a crack, technically trained litigator and stellar lawyer all round.” The publication describes Mr. Enger and Mr. Wilson as having “outstanding trial skills,” with Mr. Wilson praised by peers for his “impressive post-grant talents.”
