Heim, Payne & Chorush partner Blaine Larson is sharing his patent and trademark law insights for readers of the Texas Bar Journal in the December 2025 Year in Review issue published by the State Bar of Texas.

Mr. Larson and the firm’s patent litigators have handled hundreds of PTAB matters, including winning the first inter partes review (IPR) proceeding on behalf of a patent owner in U.S. history. In addition to his extensive work before the PTAB, Mr. Larson has helped multiple clients prevail in patent disputes heard in federal courts throughout Texas and nationally. His work before juries includes cases involving cellular network providers, graphics processors, Android operating systems, Bluetooth technology, and many others.

Mr. Larson recently helped a Texas-based technology company secure a $37.5 million verdict against one of the world’s top providers of Wi-Fi equipment and networking devices. The jury awarded the full amount requested after finding that the defendant infringed key patents covering wireless technologies.
